Last breakfast of the stay was another delightful dish – scrambled egg on brioche wrapped in wafer thin smoked salmon – mmm, mmm...

Packed and paid and left around 9:30 for the trip home...

Ironically, the sun was shining...

We had intended to visit Penrith and Carlisle on the way but ended up driving non-stop as far as Galashiels...

...where we stopped off at Tesco for provisions...

Popped in on my mum as we passed Loanhead and heard tales of her aborted birthday celebration on Monday night due to ill health – she’s ok now though...

She loved the gingerbread from Grasmere and, turns out she and my Dad visited the very town many years ago...

Home mid-afternoon and made arrangements to pick up Meg the Black Cat from ex-mum Julia and partner John in Armadale before they got too attached and wouldn’t let her come home...

Behind the door was Mr Peri Urban’s remaster of “Soundingfall” and so I fired up the machines and gave it a listen...

Sparkle and fairy dust have been added to further enhance the brilliance of my songs and, henceforth, this shall be the version available...

While I listened, I started ripping all the new CDs to the hard drive – of course I’ve run out of space on the jukeboxes so that’s just one more task I think has to be done – judicious deleting...

We brought the rain home with us and, once again we found ourselves driving through it on the motorway to West Lothian, picking Meg up around 8:30...

Once she was home, it was like we’d never been away...

Good to be back...

Highlight of the Day : The return of Meg the Black Cat...

All is in the process of being revealed - too much rain however...
