Celebrating early is not too early to celebrate...

Playlist

Slept in today...

May Day...

Post breakfast, today's CD Box, No 122...

From Robert Glasper to Grant Green...

My choice today was this from Gong...

...from late 1976, a time when they were well past still having any founding members on board...

...but they did have Allan Holdsworth now, even composing two of the pieces...

...which definitely makes this worth a listen...

Which probably won't be till tomorrow...

Listening 1st thing was today's new CBQ album, dark ambience, recorded last August and now, at last, allowed out into the wild...

...with some measure of success by close of play, both in terms of plays and, indeed, sales...

Which was nice...

The view from the office this morning...

...as Anne headed to Zumba and your correspondent sucked in yet more music he doesn't really need, into his ever expanding library (see below)...

In the afternoon, some telly was watched and some falling asleep was inevitably done...

At 6:30 or so, out and a walk down the hill...

...to Prahna for an early birthday treat...

The food here is, in the main, out of the ordinary Indian fayre...

Spinach and Apricot Tikki for Anne to start...

...while I went for the One o'Clock Gunpowder Potato - both of those came with a fiery red sauce...

My main, which I've enjoyed a couple of times here before, was Kalmi Chicken, which is chicken breast, stuffed with a nuts and honey mince and served on a bed of spinach, with a Korma sauce...

Anne went for a melt in the mouth Kadai Chicken...

...all accompanied by a superb naan, some pilau rice, Indian Beer and a Spanish red for the lady...

As we emerged, full to the brim, this was the view...

A 26 took us back up the hill, where a couple of things entertained on the TV, the final "Beyond Paradise" and "Have I Got News For You"...

Some listening to tracks from the new acquisitions was followed by a welcome return to the land of nod...

Highlight of the Day:  Early birthday Indian...
