Socks can still be dearer than music...

Playlist

Up before 7...

Scenes from the office this morning...

Today's soundtrack was mostly albums from my current top 10 of 2026...

But I started with Miles Davis' "Big Fun", the remastered version from 2022, with almost an hour's worth more of music than the original issue....

Out around about quarter to eight to go over to pick up brother-in-law Keith at the tram station...

...and then a drive out to Livingston, dropping him at the hospital for a check-up...

Took a trip over to Asda while I waited...

...and bought some new socks...

Then back to the hospital, picked Keith up and I was home again by 10 o'clock...

Down to the village to pick up a prescription, or not a prescription, some drugs in fact...

Then, back home and some work done updating this and posting CDs of the day and playlists...

Then back down again to meet up with the Exec Producer who'd been over in Musselburgh having her hair done...

Lunch at Café Vigo, cheese and pickle toastie for the Exec Producer and a Croque Monsieur for your correspondent...

Back home and the afternoon spent listening to music and writing and re-recording parts of "Love is the Drug" for bassist Keith, for Sunday's rehearsal...

...and listening to the 30 years of CBQ song-based comp which will be out tomorrow...

This evening...

...after a small soup and toast tea, three episodes of Homeland, the first two of which I'd already seen and so, on episode 5, we ventured forth into new territory...

Thereafter, "Taskmaster"...

...and then the dishes...

And then, I was feeling fairly grim and decided to retire to bed around about 10 o'clock...

Thursday over...

Highlight of the Day: 2026 music...
