Up...

...and checking last night's painting task...

The residue...

Looks to have gone well, bar one botch up which I think I will keep rather than redo...

New music Friday downloads galore, including the new Cure LP...

Then, just after 8, ready for vaccinations...

Out and down the hill for a bus into town for my appointment at 9:21...

Past the memorial garden at the Scott Monument...

In the place, I was asked a few questions, given a leaflet and sent to join the end of queue 1 - queue 2 was for over 65s...

A shout of my name and request to come round via the route for Queue 2...

My initial questioner had got my age wrong and, indeed, I had forgotten I am now over 65...

An injection in each arm - the leaflet previously provided exchanged for the correct ones and off I went...

Breakfast in Greggs...

An email advised best to stay in for a while tomorrow...

A new router will arrive ahead of our switch to SuperFastFibreBroadband next week...

A walk to the top of Leith Walk and a tram to the bottom...

Into a couple of chazzas and picked up four things...

Then, to the Dockers for a chat with Sarah and the committee guy who was at our last performance...

As with other commentators, they suggested we move the more popular numbers in the repertoire to the top of the sets, which I agreed with, with a view to us doing the more esoteric stuff in the third set when the audience has thinned out somewhat and our own supporters then comprise the majority...

I also asked them about keyboard Paul’s recent notion that it’s an imposition on the people in the bar for us to play on a Sunday afternoon in the small hall...

They said absolutely not...

They love it when anyone’s in and we would be welcome any time...

Indeed, they said that, because it was a Sunday afternoon, if we wanted to, we could move to the big hall and pay a reduced rate to hire it...

All in all, they were very enthusiastic about the band, love what we do and kind of apologised that the dockers crowd is a very difficult crowd to please...

Bottom line, they would have no qualms at all in having us back any time and they view us now as one of their regular choice bands....

All of which was good to know and was imparted to my colleagues via the WhatsApp...

I then walked the entire length of Leith Walk in my CBQ T Shirt...

This looked to be a good house, in its midst...

Another four items partaken of, across three outlets, including this, for free - sister Sheila always requests Meat Loaf when we're out sorting out mum's house...

The tram to Haymarket...

...a 100 to Drumbrae South, where, just as I arrived a 26 was in front so a quick swap...

A walk down to the house for lunch with Anne...

Ripping and listening...

A chance taken - no bad...

These two were proclaimed tasty by Edward Spark over the WhatsApp as we discussed his continued receipt of trolling for his ex-music colleagues in Sheffield...

OK for £1...

OK for £2 with a 4th "Jackie" disc from another set also inside

Delightful...

A new case applied - sadly part of the cover was stuck to the old, smashed one...

Another 100 tracks - many of which I, of course, already have - but, you know, £3 to charity...

More work awaited...

Anne was out shopping and visiting her mum...

On her return, she was prepping dinner, while I commenced the second painting task...

...while, upstairs, the soundtrack of Cure's two performances at the BBC this week, recorded for posterity...

Tasty Kerali Chicken from the EP...

Handiwork inspected - some drying required and so...

...left overnight...

More residue...

End of play...

Pain in my arms and, later, all over, started to kick in as "Have I Got News for You", "The Cleaner" and first two episodes of the second season of "The Diplomat" entertained, before I fell asleep...

To bed around 11:45, not feeling great...

Highlight of the Day : Trawling...

Good trip to the Dockers then, well done. If you can, save me one of the CDs - but I appreciate that you'll want to sell them at at the venue. Good luck.
