A new week...

One of us had to be here across the entire day as the router was supposed to be being delivered...

Needless to say, it was not...

Meanwhile, today's cat...

...espoused Anne's sentiments...

Off around 8:45 to West Linton with boxes of mum's stuff - joined by sister Sheila, also with boxes of mum's stuff...

All told, given what the man at the auction house said a couple of weeks ago re said boxes of stuff, the funds we received for much of the stuff were "reasonable" although we do of course realise that the trader (from Hexham) has to make a profit...

And so, stuff is gone...

But much remains, perhaps to go to Rosewell and, if it fails to raise any funds there, to charity shops...

It's likely mum's furniture will end up there...

I noted numbers to call to book various halls in the Borders - if anyone ever wants to do a tour...

Home around 11:30...

Three CDs sold and sent off...

Then, to adding yesterday's LPs to the digital collection...

These first three will need to be reconstituted from various sources - a long laborious task which I may well not bother with - I might just play the LPs into the computer...

The rear of this LP, bears my writing - Nuclear Fungus was the name of my imaginary band in the early 70s - before I could play any instrument...

These two were bought by me without sleeves (and long since forgotten about) - I used to work as an usher at The Usher Hall and would swipe LP covers from promotional displays - these two bear outside-in Weather Report sleeves...

Some classic James Last...

...and Frank Sinatra have joined the fray...

...along with pseudo Beatles....

..and Western Themes...

All the Frank LPs here were gifts from me to my mum over the years...

This was a real fave in the late 60s...

Pseudo Glenn Miller too...

...and actual Glenn Miller...

Tom...

The Carpenters - also a gift from me to my mum...

Cliff - another late 60's fave...

This, the last record I ever bought my mum - Frankie Say Prog, almost...

Anne was out for the afternoon visiting her mum and evening with chum Gillian for a long overdue catch up...

Me? I made my tea...

...which was very enjoyable, and binged at least 5 episodes of solo Sci Fi watch "Continuum", taking me to the end of Season 1...

Then, I recorded this week's podcast, which will be out tomorrow...

A lift for Anne from the Zoo, post her day out..

A lovely, unpictured, fluffy coconutty jumper had been partaken of from M&S...

Some listening back to the podcast, a couple of new to me jazz things and then bed...

Reasonable...
