Getting later every day...

Off to breakfast...

...by a lovely old fireplace...

Fruit and juice...

...coffee...

...toast...

...and, today, a lovely ham and cheese omelette...

Once again, no lunch required...

Out and into the car...

..for the short drive to Skipton...

...where I had a quick trawl through the many charity shops and picked up the first seven bargains that I really did not need but, somehow, still needed (see playlist)...

A walk around the town ensued but nothing more was purchased, until, on our way to the start of a walk, some chocolate raisins were partaken of...

Said walk along the canal into the woods by Skipton Castle followed...

Beautiful and peaceful...

...and a lake with ducks...

After a while of just relaxing, we walked back...

...and drove on to Ilkley...

A strong coffee was enjoyed after an initial walk around the centre...

...followed by another trawl, resulting in the remaining ten unrequired bargains being secured...

While Anne enjoyed a seat...

Ilkley was very nice indeed...

We topped up our petrol and headed back to the Inn...

Today's haul...

For tea, Anne wanted pizza...

Out...

Research re "the best pizza in North Yorkshire", led us to the village of Starbotton, on the road up to Bolton Castle...

And to Cecilia's

...where Cecilia herself, made us a pizza each...

...which we very much enjoyed in her garden to the accompaniment of early summer birdsong...

Yumtastic...

A leisurely drive home on our last night in Yorkshire...

Anne read while I ripped...

...it's what holidays are for...

Highlight of the Day : Cecilia's pizzas...
