Saturday and a day off from WFH...

The sun was blazing again - but behind the curtains...

As yesterday, I was doing some work on the songs for tomorrow's band rehearsal...

...and spent some considerable time sorting out the "waiting list" of tracks which still have to be featured on the podcast...

...just to take out 90 minutes of songs I'd forgotten to take out when I played them...

Idiot...

Breakfast with Beethoven...

An incident re a crust getting caught in the bottom of the toaster, led to this....

Then, the beast was ready to go "uptown"...

..and out and, indeed, about...

New small glasses were purchased (turned out one was broken)...

...Belgian buns of happiness were bought...

...and I returned to the car...

Yes, yo are correct, some CDs were also bought...

...th majority (including a 6CD box of Tchaikovsky) for just 50p each...

The first batch were £5 for the lot...

The next were 50p each, £5 for the lot...

Including this...

...featuring a Roachford track I'd never heard before but which bassist Keith suggested we might cover...

Quite a few adagios...

...and some film music...

Then, these last two for just under £10 at Blackwells books...

And, of course, when i got home, there was a package, containing another £8 or so's worth of new music...

...or not so new - I had this on double LP in the 80s - it actually sounds better now than it did then, music-wise...

My second set of Brandenburgs in a day...

Sounds completely different from the box above - such is the nature of cover versions......

Up to the date contemporary piano music...

...and some brought up to date piano music...

Later, some football and gin and tonics in the new, probably too small for gin and tonics, glasses...

...while Anne cooked a superb curry...

...and Fang visited...

The curry came with home made pilau rice...

Very tasty indeed...

Fang stayed all evening, in relaxed mode...

I managed to record and upload the podcast while Anne made the curry...

Some "Better Call Saul" took us to bedtime...

Lights out...

Highlight of the day : Shopping...
