Out and down the hill, the new album having been released into the wild...

And garnering good initial reactions...

The view from the office this morning...

The view from the office later on...

...as I made my way for a rare trip all the way up to Morningside and trawled the many charity shops up there...

This for £2 - originally bought in the summer of 1990 and subsequently sold but I have it again, joining the replaced this year Nos I and III in the collection...

Some dancy music, for £1...

This, which it turns out I already had as a download, also for £1...

Some blues for £1.50...

Oxfam's prices are always a bit higher so, for £3.99, this CD/DVD set by Efterklang added to my growing Efterklang collection - again I already had this as a download but nice to have the actual thing...

Justified...

A tasty disc of obscure German composers of the 1700s - a fave period of mine...

£2.99...

And, final find, a 5CD box of Mahavishnu Orchestra for just £2.50...

I thought I had all these albums already...

But, on the bus back, checking over the purchases, I realised this has a whole disc of previously unreleased concert recordings from 1973...

Tasty in the extreme...

And, on Amazon, all of the above would have set me back around £300...

Mainly because the Berlin disc was priced at £156...

Hmmm...

Tasty tea from the EP was followed by some ripping and listening and compiling of tomorrow's podcast...

Then, a drive to the other side of Edinburgh to buy some toys for Grand-nephews for their Xmas...

Back home around 9 and "Have I Got News For You" and something else I've already forgotten 8 hours later, entertained...

Not to worry...

At 11, recorded and edited the links for the podcast while Anne painted...

To bed with the podcast mock up on the cans...

Highlight of the Day : Bargains...
