Up early to finish off the podcast - ahead of the game...

Today, a new phone for the first time in a goodly number of years - my iPhone 4S will be, from now, merely a small music player with a short battery life - once I work out how to wipe it that is...

A visit top the O2 shop set the new phone up with all the stuff from the old phone...

The first picture on the new phone...

Finally home around 7:30, only to find the iPhone 8 would not work with my version of iTunes - which includes five years' of work etc re playlists and nonsense...

A bad past experience which wiped my library and took a considerable amount of time to rectify, has led me always to reject Apple's advances to upgrade iTunes...

Now I had no alternative if I wanted to use the massive 256G  storage on the phone to be able to carry around yet another sizeable chunk of my music collection...

I created a system restore point - just in case I had to backtrack, programme wise...

...and did a goodly amount of copying/backing up...

...before taking the plunge...

It went without a hitch - amazing!

I would advise I am not a fan of Steeleye Span...

I am now slightly more up to date phone-wise...

Which is good...

Today's artwork, "The First Picture on a New Phone"...

Highlight of the Day : New phone working...
