Breakfast at home...

Out and to the market - there is one everyday it seems - today was "antiques"...

One man's junk etc...

As was indeed the case for me, as I found The Doors' "An American Prayer" on CD for just £2 - I'd been looking for it for a while, as, having owned it in the late 70's, the ability even to merely reconstitute it via Youtube downloads was eluding me...

Back home later, "Lament" ("for my cock") caused me to chuckle - Jimbo Morrison at his most ludicrous...

A walk down to the river...

...via the Broadgate - the only city gate left intact...

A walk along the banks afforded good views...

The castle was our destination this morning...

Ludlow Castle sits just off the market place and apparently protected the town from marauding Welshmen, as well as being the seat of the government for that then province...

Background to this impressive but derelict castle at the link above, meanwhile, here are our views from the visit...

There was much climbing up and, indeed, down of stairs involved...

Surely, everyone loves a medieval toilet...don't they?

I had to be Executively Produced for this one...

The beast was about its business in a ruined castle on the border with Wales...

The views afforded by climbing the tallest tower meant our proposed climb of the church tower...

 ...was cancelled...

Down for a couple of last takes...

Home and a couple of hours relaxing and watching "Mr Holmes" -  a top notch film, at the end of which I seemed to have something in my eye...

More relaxing...

...before popping in downstairs for some late afternoon coffee and cake...

...and back to the Rose and Crown, post further wandering around, for refreshments...

Dinner bought and taken home in time for the new series of "Dr Who", which bodes very well...

Music listening for me and uploading of pics in preparation of writing the last few days up, as Anne enjoyed "Strictly"...

Another good day...

Today's artwork, "The View from the Tower"...

Highlight of the Day : A good walk and a good castle...
