Unexpected and sad news today as we discovered 2016 has now done for two thirds of Emerson, Lake & Palmer with Greg Lake succumbing yesterday to a long battle with cancer - a battle of which few were aware - following on from the suicide, earlier this year of Keith Emerson...

I witnessed just two performances by him, both were memorable - the first (in 2005) as I met him afterwards, the second (in 2010) as it proved to be the final ever show by ELP...

It seems to be that 2016 is leading to a lot of people my age beginning to realise we do not have that much time left...

With that in mind, your correspondent was back "out and about" and an annual party resulted in a worse for wear scenario, which is quite effectively pictured here on the way down Crispycat Hill from the Terminus...
