In touch with Dr Prog and, while he's in good spirits, it seems he's not out of the woods yet...

We hoped to visit tonight but had to postpone as he was having tests done...

Very much in our thoughts right now...

He's raging because he walks everywhere and is always drinking water...

Elsewhere, a very tasty salad in a very sunny Princes St Gardens today at lunchtime...

...and home under blue skies...

...and green trees...

 

...to find some things had been delivered...

This, ordered yesterday and here within 24 hours - now that's what I call service...

Ten minutes of re-arranging...

...and standing becomes a bit more feasible...

...although it is a wee bit sore on the old pins...

Also in the post, a superb disc of Sofia Gubaidulina's chamber music for strings - one for next week's podcast methinks...

...and finally bit the bullet re Brian Eno's much acclaimed new one - I'd downloaded a couple of tracks from Warp pre release and still wasn't sure - however, after listening tonight I am convinced...

Nice package, as they say...

On telly, Ben Elton's "Blackadder" does Shakespeare comedy, "Upstart Crow" continued to entertain after three weeks...

And "I Want My Wife Back" came to a satisfactory close after six...

"Upstart Crow" not as good as "Blackadder, "I Want My Wife Back" not as good as "Worst Week of My Life"...

In the same way as "The Ship" is not "Before and After Science"...

Oh well...

Some more standing and then off to bed...
