Up early but little chance to enjoy the weather today...

It was too early for our usual breakfast haunt so we popped to the supermarket next to the hotel...

...which was actually top notch...

Auf wiedersehen to Marienplatz...

We missed our train due to going to the opposite platform by mistake, putting us 10 minutes behind schedule...

...but it all worked out in the end...

..and we were soon on the plane...

...and into the sky...

The EP enjoyed Mary Beard talking about Rome...

I captured ships on the North Sea...

Touchdown...

Then, of course, the utterly tedious and pathetic experience that is passport control and baggage pick up at Edinburgh Airport...

Not to worry - a bus to the bottom of Crispycat Hill, a trundle up and we were back to base...

Cards and presents were opened...

...and TV and music were enjoyed...

...as was a welcome home curry - the temple worshipping will re-commence on Monday we decided...

A great trip but, as always, good to be back...

Highlight of the Day : Home...
