Up early and the ripping continued...

The camera I got at Christmas, which was subsequently replaced and whose fault I could not get to materialize a week or so ago, was playing up all day yesterday and, this morning, would not take any pics - these from my old Samsung as I set off down to PC World to rectify matters...

No palaver this time - the nice young man replaced the camera without a raised eyebrow - apparently something to do with the lens motor - a common fault...

Along to meet Anne...

...and to Cafe Vigo for brunch...

...scrambled egg with smoked salmon on toast with lashings of coffee on the side...

Back out into the sun and a walk up the hill under superb skies...

Back home, found that the new camera is white rather than black..

Oh well  - it works...

The local cats were enjoying the tree in the front garden...

...then they spotted something...

...and Fang the Black Cat joined them briefly...

...before heading off...

Out to Loanhead and met up with niece in law Tori, nephew Andy and Andy's son Kerr, just back from Loch Lomond...

A caravan was being put up my mum's drive, if you pardon the expression...

A short drive up to sister Sheila's for a big family gathering, to which mum was looking forward...

...the arrival of...

...Wee Dougie...

...already nearly six months old...

Andrew Senior's brother Alec and his family were on hand too...

...with baby Penny...

A full house indeed...

...and some fun was had...

You can tell I'm a seasoned holder of small babies...

I think Wee Dougie might have liked me as he drooled all over my trousers...

It's possible my mum liked her biscuit more than the boy...

Just kidding...

Nephew Ali arrived...

...with his nice wee boxer dog, Beau...

Sheila's lab Cassie was also in attendance - the two seemed to get on ok...

...as did the two babies...

Time to go - apparently the party went on till reasonably late - after Tori, Andy and Dougie had left to drive back to Yorkshire...

We drove over to Anne's mum's...

On arrival some disturbing news - a text from Dr Prog to advise he was hospitalised yesterday after suffering a heart attack in Dunfermline...

He is ok but cannot be transferred to Edinburgh yet...

Worrying times...

We will visit soon...

At Anne's mum's, a nice home-made curry was followed by possibly too much pudding...

...although the fruit was healthy...

Bobby greeted his interweb fans...

...while it poured outside...

Ladies chatted - Kitty was off elsewhere attached to her phone - teenagedom beckons methinks...

Took Anne to the Kings for The Ballet Boys with chum Teresa - reportedly excellent - while I recorded this week's podcast...

...before going back into town to take Teresa home and bring Anne back to Crispycat Towers...

Another weekend gone...
