Breakfast at the Cafe Kaiserbau...

Yoghurt fruit and honey for me...

A walk down Tubingerstrasse...

...to the Kunstmuseum - and in...

...wearing my badge with pride...

To the basement for the first item - "Curtain Callers" by Ann-Sofi Siden and Jonathan Bepler - film from backstage and in front of house at the Koeniglichen Theater Stockholm shown over five screens...

...and off we went...

I will let the exhibits speak for themselves - if you want to know what anything is, get in touch...

Milk and honey....

...and sardines...

What's this?

This...

A room made from beeswax...

It smelt weird...

A man, Raphael Sbrzesny, drumming on a horse...

This wasn't an exhibit, rather an engineer making his way into the gubbins of the complex...

More from the man on the horse...

...and on...

Upstairs...

This was Anne's favourite work...

The attendant didn't want to be in the shot...

...but I waited till she peaked to see if I was finished...

This spelling out of the word "sohn" seemed not to be able to be seen correctly from any angle...

Two floors...

Art lovers...

Otto Dix...

Self portrait...

Master of the, shall we say, unconventional person...

I preferred the works of Winter, Baumeister, Stöhrer and Pfahler

Other than the Riley, these did not impress...

These, however, did...

A room of TVs...

Playing films of people singing songs but dubbed with silly voices...

I was so impressed with the gallery, I bought the book...

...but could not stretch to the 1,200 Euros for this Richter set...

Art was present on the way to the bathroom...

Coffees were required...

...as new books were admired...

The EP liked the free mini-croissants...

Out into the cloud and rain...

...and round to Mediamarkt while Anne looked at things she likes...

Gabi Delgado of DAF joined the collection....

...as did the latest by Dutch fave, Herman Van Veen...

Lunch in the street - tasty sandwiches and a smidgen of Munich Potato Salad...

...before taking the U-Bahn to Wilhelma...

..and over the Neckar to Bad Cannstatt...

Picturesque...

The weather however, was letting us down somewhat...

Back on the train...

...to Marienplatz...

...and to the roof of the hotel...

..before taking a walk up to a spotted from the roof church...

...the Matthäuskirche...

...and its fountain...

..and nearby ex-Fire Station...

As the heavens opened, we took refuge at Onkel Otto's Schnitzelparadies...

...where the schnitzel were top notch...

These were XL - for a further 3 Euros they offered XXL - which was, basically, two schnitzel instead of one...

We were glad only to have ordered XL (for the record there were no L, M or indeed S's on offer)...

Tasty and very filling, as you might imagine...

A walk back to the hotel and watching Bayern Munich beat Atletico Madrid but exit the European Cup thing on the away goals rule...

Oh well, it's only a game - it's not art...

Highlight of the Day : Kunst...
