Coffee in our room...

...pre a lovely, unpictured, breakfast with secret recipe granola and sculpted eggs, cinnamon toast etc etc...

Good start to the day...

Out and driving up the Niagara River with its many vineyards...

The town itself is rather gaudy...

...but much was promised...

We drove back and forth along the main road looking for parking opportunities...

...and finally bit the bullet and paid $20 to park all day in a large car park at the far end of matters...

We walked over the road to the wall, beyond which lay the famous falls...

I'll let the pictures do the talking as much as possible...

These the views above the point where the waters fall...

..and then, the falls themselves...

We would shortly be in this...

As opposed to this, which sails from the American side...

This the American viewing platform...

...and, on that side, you can take the stairs down to the river's edge...

We paid our money and took the elevator down to river level...

Everyone gets a red waterproof (kind of) - the US side gets blue...

On to the boat and some views from below were afforded...

...and into the spray, which, at first, was minimal...

As we approached the falls though, we were drenched, despite our protective pieces of plastic...

An excellent experience...

Out and up and through the shop, where your correspondent was tempted into buying another shirt which may someday fit him...

Into the town...

...where shops and amusements were eschewed in favour of park land...

It was, once again, absolutely roasting...

Starbucks was nicely air-conditioned...

...followed by lunch at an upmarket falafel place,,,,

...ad a walk back down to the river...

...and back to the car, passing Nikolai Tesla - who carried out the first hydro electric power experiments here...

...rainbows could be seen, just...

We drove back along the river...

...and then, with Anne falling prey to a "hankering", back to the outlet...

Nice...

We returned to the Sandtrap for pizzas...

...where Andy Murray was on the telly from New York...

Home and a film on Netflix - a Disney cartoon about the future, whose name escapes me...

Lights out...

Good day...

Highlight of the Day : Niagara Falls...
