Cats of the performing variety...

Playlist
The Tubes - Suffer For Sound (The Black Album)
Udo Lindenberg - Ich mach mein Ding - Die Show
Asia - Epic Asia
Alice Cooper - Hollywood Vampires

The view from the office this morning...

Breakfast was top notch - fresh fruit, banana toast, home made jellies...

...and a lovely omelette - garnished, amongst other things, by an edible flower...

Then, time for Wilma's performing cats...

They even roll over and play dead like dogs sometimes do...

Anyway, out...

...and off in the car to nearby St Jacobs and its market...

Presents were purchased...

..including a little something for ourselves...

Then, to the town itself...

This flour mill is now a labyrinth of boutiques, crafts (some excellent actual and, therefore, individually unique, maple leaf coasters were partaken of), museums and galleries...

Hardware museum...

Including many interesting old machines...

Maple syrup museum...

It is only made in this relatively small area of North America - a tree needs to be 40 before it can be tapped - tapping can continue for 100 years or more...

A model railway...

...including the building it's in...

Art galleries...

...and out...

The town is famous for its Mennonites, a Christian sect which sticks to its guns "religiously" on the teachings of the bible and has been persecuted through the centuries for doing so...

The exhibitions and interactive displays explaining their position were very informative indeed and I sympathise with their situation...

That whole believing in a supreme being thing though is still a bit weird...

Another model railway exhibition was foregone...

...and we returned to Kitchener...

...where the cats entertained again but naturally this time...

A trip into the town resulted in further purchases - the first two for $1 each at X-Disc-C (geddit?)...

...and then, the new Alice Cooper album from Encore Records on King...

...bringing the holiday haul to this...

And so, our last night in Canada and a small pizza beckoned, again at our hosts' recommendation...

Back home, we sat up chatting with Brian while watching the Blue Jays on his big TV - they played two games today against the New York Yankees, winning both in the pouring rain...

Nearly over...

Highlight of the Day : St Jacobs...
