We had not had pancakes since arriving in Canada but, when Wilma heard this, pancakes were prepared - blueberry with, of course, maple syrup...

Brian was such a superb host too - this an apron sent to him by a previously impressed guest...

New people were at the breakfast table, so the cats were once again put through their paces - it's all about the goodie drops as far as they're concerned I imagine...

We said our goodbyes, noting this on the kitchen wall - created by their son...

Brian gave us one last tip re what we might see today, before heading to the airport - and so we headed directly north to the town of Elora...

We parked near the river and walked into town...

It was still pretty early on a Sunday morning but a couple of craft/art shops were open...

Some things were partaken of...

We now have a - smaller than the above - black cat...

...which was sitting in amongst these, the only black one...

This shop had quite a lot of nice looking junk which I liked but which would have been impossible to get home - Anne was probably relieved...

Back to the car and our last journey...

...under cloudy skies...

We stopped briefly in Guelph, visiting Beat Goes On...

...or at least I did - Anne, wisely, waited in the car...

Two Canadian discs purchased - this by the violinist of Arcade Fire was initially very annoying but, on further listens turned out to be ok...

...while this, by Loscil, turned out to be superb...

On to Brampton...

...for our last lunch...

...and then the drive through the rain trying to find a Gas Station within 10km of the airport...

Success and the car, which had served us so well, was duly handed back....

Through check-in, security and customs with no problems

Au revoir Canada...

Pints to use up our change...

Boarding...

Settling in for the six hour flight...

The sun was going down...

...and off...

Heading out over Lake Ontario, eastwards towards home...

What a great trip this was...

I hope we will return...

Highlight of the Day : Elora...
