A cheeky squirrel, a raccoon and some islands...

Playlist
Yes - The Chris Squire Collection

Friday already - up and out to the bakery...

...and back to the garden - Anne had made toast with the remains of Tuesday's bread...

...and put it out on the table...

...not a good plan when there are cheeky wee black squirrels about...

There was enough food left for the humans though...

Then another visitor - can you see its wee face at the foot of the tree?

Here's the wee monkey - a cheeky wee raccoon...

It took a good wander around the garden...

...then climbed up on the fence...

...and walked up and down it for a while...

...before disappearing into the neighbours' garden..

Good start to the day...

Into town...

...passing the Horseshoe Tavern on Queen Street West, scene of many memorable Rheostatics gigs and residencies over the years...

On to the harbour and joined the queue for the ferry to the Toronto Islands...

This was the one that would bring us back from Centre Island but we took a smaller one to Ward's Island...

The views back to the city were superb...

...and soon we were docking...

The Beast and his Exec Producer were about their business...

...ready to explore...

Ward's Island is the part where people have made their homes - the other two large islands have an amusement park and an airport as their main attractions...

I'll let the pictures do the talking - I don't really write much these days - it's mostly about the pics...

Jets were flying overhead - pleased with this as I couldn't see for the sun, just pointed and shot...

...Off they go - top left corner...

We'd walked to Centre Island...

...where a slice of pizza ought to have been washed down with a cold drink but the machine ate my dollars...

We took a trip on a bus/train thing which toured around much of the parts we'd not seen yet...

This is (Ned) Hanlon's Point which commemorates a young boy who rowed over the lake every day to Toronto in a hollowed out plank!!

He eventually became a champion rower...

Post trip, refreshment was required...

..and low flying rainbows were spotted...

To the jetty on Centre Island for the return crossing...

More aircraft overhead...

...and more good views...

This is from the ship, of the spot where, on Tuesday, I took the pictures of the ship we were on now - if you see what I mean...

The Beast etc...

Back on dry land, we took the street car home...

Everyday chess game in down town Toronto...

...and home...

...for a rest before heading out to dinner...

...to The Opera House over the road...

Tasty...

The blurring in the top corners of these pics is down to damage on my smallest camera's lens, due to in an inadvertant drop to the floor at last night's gig...

Not to worry - adds a certain je ne sais quoi to proceedings...

Ended the day with "The Hangover III" on Netflix...

Highlight of the Day : A raccoon and a visit to the islands...
