A beautiful morning...

Bagels and coffee for breakfast, taken in the open air, overlooking the bay...

We decided to take the earliest trip out to the islands - a good decision both weather and numbers wise...

And off we went...

Firstly, round to Big Tub Harbour...

...where we were afforded views of the sunken ships...

...which lie just a few feet from the shore...

...then, back out towards Georgian Bay, which, in turn, leads to Lake Huron...

Here, we toured around the islands...

...eventually reaching Flowerpot Island, our destination, sailing around it first of all...

These are said flowerpots - apologies in advance for the surfeit of pictures featuring them...

The larger of the two, from certain angles, appears to have the face of an old man looking out onto the waters of the lake...

To the dock...

We'd chosen not to see the wrecks through the glass bottom element of the hull - probably a good decision...

The beast and his Exec Producer were about their business on a Canadian island...

The boat would return in a couple of hours...

We set off for the Flowerpots and nearby cave...

I had planned on bringing this small stone home - in the event, I think I left it in the motel room...

Oh well...

To the cave...

Then, through the woods, back to the pots...

With our time almost up, back towards the jetty...

We had time for a seat with our feet up...

...watching the wildlife...

Our lift home...

...and back through the islands, taking a more direct route this time...

We could see the ferry in the distance, making its way back to Tobermoray...

Back to harbour...

An excellent trip...

We grabbed lunch, which attracted this wee monkey...

..before visiting the nearby Bruce Peninsula National Park Visitors' Centre - where a short film on the region and the islands was enjoyed - as were the various displays...

Then, up this tower for views from above the treeline...

On our descent, we followed this path...

...through the trees...

...to the waterside...

We walked back to the centre and then took the car further south and then west to the shore of Lake Huron and Singing Sands Beach at Dorcan Bay, so called, I imagine, judging by the sounds, due to the loudness of the insect calls from the scrub-land...

Back for a rest and a beer...

...watching the later island trippers returning...

Once agian, our wee friend was taking an interest...

...with its wee feet...

Out for dinner, slight rain resulting in this outfit...

Very tasty burgers at the Princess Hotel met our sustenance needs...

...before we took a final walk around the port...

It would have been good to have been able to head further North in this but...

...the return to home begins here, kind of...

Back in the motel room, we booked two nights at a BnB in Kitchener, just an hour or so from the airport...

Another long drive tomorrow...

Highlight of the Day : Boat trip...
