Splinterheart flowers continue to flower...

As do their chums...

To Fopp at lunchtime and seduced by their £3 Japanese jazz offers...

Home under blue but windy skies...

This...

...contained this...

Some people are jetting off somewhere...

A visit from Rory Custard...

Monkey...

In the evening, Anne out on the ran-dan with Lynn - so I listened to the new purchases...

This, from 1961, is as the title suggests - abstract - from the Modern Jazz Quartet's John Lewis - it features Ornette Coleman, who died recently - and bassist Scott LaFaro, who died in a car crash shortly after the recording was made...

Eric Dolphy is also to be heard...

This, drummer Shelly Manne's 1967 take on Henry Mancini's music from the film "Gunn" - contains possibly the slowest ever version of the famous track "Peter Gunn"...

...and why has it taken until 2015 for me to own this little Miles Davis related beauty from 1970?

Future co-founder of Weather Report, bassist Miroslav Vitouš' solo LP with Mahavishnu John McLaughlin plus Herbie Hancock, Joe Henderson and Jack DeJohnette...

Yowsah!

And, finally, took a chance on this for just fifty of your English new pence - a melancholic Irishman virtually unknown in the UK...

It paid off - which was nice..

Good music, tasty coffee, great cup...

Awaited possible taxi duties...

The call duly came and the ladies were brought home under a fuzzy moon...

Lights out, later than usual...

Highlight of the Day : New music...
