Up at six and working in listening mode...

This the view from the office...

I did not notice for a while but when finally checking my mails, I found our accommodation for an upcoming trip to Canada had been cancelled at very short notice indeed...

Shades of Berlin last year...

Alternatives were organised and consultation was undertaken on these with the Exec Producer...

We decided on a more expensive option and booked same...

And awaited word back...

Meanwhile, I moved on to ensuring all my Herman Van Veen CDs were in iTunes...

Three and a half hours later, all was done...

A break had been taken for lunch in the garden, while we listened to The Rangers beat Hibernian by one goal to nil to go top, above Queens on goal difference - the two meet next Sunday...

At three, off over to the other side of town for a Fringe show...

Celebrities were spotted - Al Murray (whom Bobby and Olly saw last night)...

...Josh Widdicombe and Jay Raynor - under the hot sun...

But we were here to see Gyles Brandreth - who, to be fair, outstripped all my expectations with his show on the importance of words...

Back home for a couple of hours and still no word from Canada...

Off out again to pick up nephew Olly for a visit to the cinema...

Tonight's viewing was the very entertaining "The Man From U.N.C.L.E."...

Once again, expectations were surpassed...

...and, despite the absence of Robert Vaughn and David McCallum...

...it was probably better than the original series - much as I loved that - an absolute highlight of my life in the sixties...

Home to a message from the provinces that all is well and everything is back on track...

Huge relief all round...

Late night work on some possible drum tracks for the new LP - which would mean re-recording and kind of going back to the drawing board just when all seemed to be finished...

We'll see...

Lights out on an eventful weekend...

Highlight of the Day : New accommodation secured...
