Usual caveat of camera proximity to plate - sweet potato and courgette "stack" with poached egg and chilli jam...

...and lashings of coffee...

Then, to a large shopping centre...

...to obtain cards and presents for upcoming, mums-related birthdays...

Back home, no lunch required and five hours worth of podcasts created, rather than "played" this time...

Worked well but still took a while (not five hours though)...

In footie, Hearts suffered their first defeat of the season 3-2 away to Hamilton...

Tomorrow, Queens play The Rangers in Dumfries...

As we were about to set out to my mum's this evening, we were delayed by a huge downpour...

...but it passed and we were soon at the Howgate, scene of many a birthday meal over the last 10 years and longer - "where do you want to go for your birthday mum?" "The Howgate"...

Good food, good drink and "interesting" chat - amazing what some young people think/believe about stuff these days...

Back to Sheila's for coffee and cake...

Back to mum's around midnight, a good time having been had by an eighty five in two days time year old lady...
