The view from the office this morning...

Started the day at 5am with a couple of Soft Machine Anthologies...

...then compiled and recorded the Cloudland Blue July Podcast - no theme this month, just a track a piece from each of my physical acquisitions...

Out with the old CD storage units...

...to the Cancer Research shop...

Adios old chums...

Then, into town to meet up with Dr Prog...

The Festival is almost under way - the town is noticeably fuller and more colourful...

Before meeting the progmeister at the music library, a couple of purchases at the BHF - just 99p each...

This is currently £100 on Amazon (even 2nd hand copies are going for £45) - weird...

Three purchases and a borrow made - nothing for the doc - to the Falafel place for chat and sustenance..

Thereafter, we entertained these tourists...

...before enjoying coffee, cake and more chat at the Brewlab Speciality Coffee House...

The unpictured cakes were splendid...

Phil headed down to Fopp while I made my way back to the car and home, to find this had arrived...

Brian Eno's Desert Island Disc book choice...

A right riveting read...

The afternoon was spent ripping and listening and keeping an eye on Queens away at Annan in the League Cup - eventually winning 4-3 in extra time, having been behind twice...

Annan, two leagues below Queens, finished with 9 men...

Purchases today were this for 30p...

...this for 30p...

Ahem, this for 30p - from when he was no bad...

...and I borrowed this - not realising I borrowed it four and a half years ago but had never gotten round to adding it to my iTunes...

Some Twitter correspondence with Rheostatics' Dave Bidini...

I'll be looking to read these on the flight to Toronto at the end of the month...

Sadly, no hockey while were there...

But Dave chat may lead to a baseball game during our visit...

In the evening, we enjoyed "Mr Turner"...

Was he the first purveyor of what we now call "Modern Art"?

Probably...

Ended the day with Laura Viers and Teresa Salgueiro on the main hi-fi, before hitting the sack with Soft Machine...

Full circle...

Highlight of the Day : Mr Turner...
