Out into the not so dark...

Soundtracked for most of the day by The Alvaret Ensemble and Dar Williams...

Christmas is over (pt 1)...

To Fopp at lunchtime to get the steps in...

Was trying not to buy anything but could not resist £2 discs of Handel's oboe concertos and Bruckner's 2nd Symphony (the original 1872 version)...

On checking the collection later, relieved to find I have neither already...

Headed home...

Christmas is over (pt 2)...

Back up the hill and in from the dark...

...to find two parcels had arrived, the latest from Lucy Kaplansky along with the 30 CD box of 18th Century music (containing 76 complete works), only ordered on Friday and here already...

However, a disappointed Mr CBQ would have preferred to have waited even two weeks for its arrival had it been packed properly...

Aaaargh! (part 1)

Not to worry, the music itself is excellent - so much so that Ms Kaplansky and the two other classical discs remain unsampled at this juncture...

Aaaargh! (Part 2) - my RHA in ear headphones have gone on the blink - bought in June, replaced in November - now, on the blink again in January - 3 year warranty though, so I fully expect to receive a third set in the not too distant future...

The entire evening was spent listening and ripping 18th century music, apart from a tasty tea comprising Annie's home made and very tasty indeed quiche with salad and, on telly, the, what I call hilarious, "Miranda"...

Lights out...

Highlight of the Day : Part of me says 18th century music but, if I'm honest, it has to be Miranda...

I'm one of those people that doesn't get Miranda. Having said that I've not watched much TV yet in 2013 so who knows...
