To Fopp today...

An Ultravox! (the good Ultravox! that is) compilation bought for £2...

At home, replacement earphones had arrived from RHA – good service but I’d have preferred them not to have gone on the blink...

Also arrived the MASSIVE katalog from Dokumenta 11 in 2002 – a classy art book and nifty companion to the short guide received on New Year’s Eve from Brodski and Penny...

Perused this this evening while ripping and listening to the 18th century box, followed by a couple of old Motown tunes...

End of an era as the red book of CDs, started in 1985 with Brian Eno’s “Thursday Afternoon”, was brought to a close after 27 years and 6,995 CDs with my last acquisition of 2012, John McLaughlin’s “Now Here This”...

Behind it, you can see the new red book which was started, with the thought that it’s unlikely to be filled before all my CDs end up in a skip...

Highlight of the Day : Big art book arrival...
