Up at 5:50 am...

Here are the CDs acquired so far this year - except the 30 disc box of 18th Century music which I left upstairs...

Out into the snow at 6:25 for a walk to get the steps up...

The beast etc etc...

It seemed other than the beast, only buses were about...

Past the top of Anne's mum's road...

...and the bottom of Jane and Bobby's...

...past Murrayfield...

...and the Chinese Consulate...

...and The Murrayfield House...

...along...

...to Roseburn and the podiatrist's place - still shut at this time in the morning...

Decided to keep going and was soon at the spot from where I usually take the bus home...

An hour to here...

The old Donaldson's School for the Deaf - there is planning permission for "luxury" flats...

At Haymarket, the Walkman ran out of juice - very disappointing...

Kids had been at play in the grounds of the Cathedral...

...which was looking good...

On towards Princes Street...

...past the Starlightnight view...

...past Charlotte Square...

...under the castle...

...for a warming coffee in McDonald's at 7:50...

I thought HMV might open at 8 but the sign said 9...

Onto the bus - the beast was seen in the bottom right corner on CCTV...

Stopped off in Corstorphine for croissants to take home...

Back up Crispycat Hill...

...and walked back down to the house...

Home at 8:50...

...to find Anne still sleeping...

But Meg the Black Cat in the mood to help out on the PC...

The rest of the day was spent mostly mucking about on the computer...

Listened to much jazz from 1959 along with the weird and wonderful sounds of Mr Ligeti...

Meanwhile, Queens continued to win, this time 3-1 at home to Forfar while Hearts were gubbed by Celtic 4-1 in Glasgow...

Not to worry though...

This evening, to celebrate 33 years together, we were off back into town...

This wee snowman greeted us on our walk down to the bus...

In to Time for Thai and superb tasty food...

My salad starter was extremely hot and extremely crunchy - I declared it the best salad I'd ever had...

Monkfish Thai Curry for me and Chicken Thai Curry for the Exec Producer also impressed...

Red wine was enjoyed and an unnecessary pudding was ordered and scoffed...

This banana concoction was easily bettered by Anne's coconut ice cream...

Back out into the snow...

Bus home and two Tivo'd episodes of "Borgen" rounded off the day...

Splendid...

Highlight of the Day : Celebrating...
