Still both under the weather...

Up late, 9am...

Last night, the light in the back room went, blowing a fuse and knocking out the bathroom too...

Fuse sorted this morning but new bulbs required...

To the wholesaler mentioned to Anne a few weeks back by the electrician who put some new lights and switches in at Crispycat Towers...

Turns out you don’t have to sit in a half light which takes an age to build up to a half light – these days you can buy low energy bulbs with special filaments inside which give off as much light as a conventional old style 100W bulb...

We bought four, one for the CD room, one for the computer room and two back ups...

To The Bakehouse for coffee and scones with jam...

As tasty as they look...

Back home, bulbs replaced, light introduced...

Then, to backing up the various hard drives...

More research re European trains and a possible visit to London/Europe in the Spring, followed by two episodes of the getting better “Two Broke Girls”...

With Anne watching Matthew Bourne’s take on Tchaikovsky’s “Swan Lake”, I undertook more listening to and downloading of, weird left field sounds...

Remembered a couple of free 42 track ambient/drone compilations found on Bandcamp a while back – found that, since then, a further three have been issued – these were added to the hard drive...

I have noted that, in addition to the 7,000 or so physical CDs I have, there are around a further 4,500 albums on my various hard drives...

Oof...

Listening for 12 hours a day, it would take around two years and eight months to get through everything I have...

An interesting “Time Watch” told the story of how Victoria came to the throne in Great Britain...

“Live at the Apollo” also entertained, I especially liked the dark version of Leonard Rossiter presented by Simon Evans...

Researching his name lead me to watch last week's episode on iPlayer...

Off to bed with the machines still backing up..

Highlight of the Day : Planning a trip...
