A good sunny day today...

...soundtracked by The Bad Plus from Monday and Tuesday, The Tubes in anticipation of tonight and ELP from two years ago today - a grim two years all told...

This evening Alan and Penny arrived just before seven and we drove over the Forth to Dunfermline to see San Francisco's favourite sons, The Tubes...

Two and a quarter hours of top class musicianship and entertainment ensued in the beautiful surroundings of The Carnegie Hall  - last time Alan, Anne and I witnessed the Tubes was at Glasgow's King Tut's Wah Wah Hut in December 2004...

The band much preferred tonight's venue too, referring to KTWWH as a "shit hole"...

Probably correct - but they were brilliant there too - if a little cramped...

Sister Pam was much on my mind tonight as I watched and enjoyed the show - she was a huge fan of this band - we chose the Tubes to soundtrack our ultimately pointless journeys to Glasgow to the cancer clinic almost a year ago...

Anyway, the show was brill and we stayed behind for the meet and greet with Fee Waybill, Prairie Prince and Rick Anderson...

While everyone stood around wondering how it was going to work, the Exec Producer just went up to Mr Waybill and had him sign her ticket...

Your correspondent shook one of the excellent drumming hands of Praire Prince...

For some reason I'd forgotten my camera tonight so these from my phone...

Fee poses with a fan, while Prairie Prince advises he is unable to forge Mingo Lewis's signature...

 Count Brodski with signed ticket...

Highlight of the Day : The Tubes...
