Up at 5:20...

Working on the new album...

Artwork, compiling extra discs etc etc...

At 8:45, out and over to Helen the podiatrist - still having difficulty walking after Wednesday's football...

It was lashing with rain...

Toes attended to and back home for more work followed by breakfast...

In the afternoon, to Tesco for ingredients and provisions...

...and a Neil Young box of his first four albums for just nine of your Englissh pounds (including five on the gift card I got from Mr Tesco a few weeeks back when his photo printing machine let me down - so £1 a disc)...

Another "Montalbano"..

More work...

..while Anne made soup for the starter - tasty cream of broccoli with toasted almonds...

Just before seven, I started my own culinary work...

Anne's soup, bottom left below...

Alan and Penny arrived as I cooked...

Initial drinks were drunk as my cooking continued...

The soup was enjoyed most muchly...

As was my own concoction of "three pepper chicken"...

Penny documented the meal...

..while I documented Penny...

After dinner, we retired to the living room and Meg the Black Cat made herself comfortable on the visitors...

The specially compiled CD was enjoyed as were four of the five discs I put together for Brodski's 50th almost three years ago now...

Genesis and Sparks were gifted to the Count...

At two it was time to go and a taxi was called...

Much drink had been drunk - some might say, too much...

Love Parade 2012 gave each other a farewell hug and it was off to bed...

A good day...

Highlight of the Day : Cooking for chums...
