David Reilly - Fifty-One
Ives - Symphony 2; Robert Browning Overture
Ives - Symphony 1; Emerson Concerto
This is my two thousand and three hundredth post - that's a bit stupid really n'est ce pas?
So, today - listened again to the proposed compilation after a week or so away...
Sounded quite good, if I say so myself - didn't get to the third disc though...
Nice weather later on - these on the way home...
The new external Hard Drive arrived at Crispycat Towers at an inopportune moment - I will collect it on Thursday...
A CD arrived from e-bay and fitted through the letter box - another Ives Symphony (a third Ives CD is on its way too)...
Wonderful stuff - recommended...
Sister Pam called - she is doing great although worried about how to keep occupied next week when she won't be attending hospital to have her brain zapped and won't have to get up early to take what are, in effect, poison drugs...
Looking forward to her visiting in a week or so's time...
Also recommended today is, if you ever get the chance to partake, Annie's extremely tasty chicken, potato, avocado and bacon salad with honey and mustard dressing...
Meg the Black cat pinched people's seats all night...
..and looked innocent...
The final "Waking the Dead" was very entertaining...
As was the penultimate "Twenty-Twelve" - very funny indeed...
The Ives entertained in a weird and wonderful way...
Charles' story is a good one - a composer whose worth wasn't recognised until he'd been writing for decades whilst earning a living as an Insurance Executive...
Look him up on Wikipedia why don't you...
Highlight of the day : Annie's tasty salad...
