In the inbox first thing, Pam's chum Suzanne reminding me it was St Patrick's Day with this pic of daughter Megan...

A grey morning heading into town...

By lunchtime, things were a bit brighter...

...as I headed to Jessops to have my camera lens cleaned - there's been a strange blurring in the bottom left corner since I got it...

In the nearby Britsh Heart Foundation shop, three CDs took my fancy at £1.99 each - Dylan, Depeche Mode and the Jimi Hendrix of the early 16th Century, Francesco Canova Da Milano...

Met with Anne in the early evening and we were back in the same area for tea at the Rendezvous, Edinburgh's longest established Chinese restaurant...

...where, post a tasty meal, these were in our fortune cookies...

Back out into Shandwick Place for the bus home...

...to Crispycat Hill...

...from which, stars were visible (just)...

...as were grainy trees...

At home, a Tivo'd "Law & Order" entertained before I retired to listen to the new acquisitions, which were joined by two more classical discs from e-bay...

Probably best of the five is "Cello Music in London at the Time of Frederick Prince of Wales"...

"This Week" then bed...

Highlight of the Day : Tea with the Exec Producer
