I am not superstitious but you will recall that, on Tuesday, our telly went tits up...

I did not advise but, on Wednesday, a misplaced wet umbrella post a downpour in the queue for "Inside" caused considerable damage to my new Stewart Lee book...

Now, today was Friday the 13th so what could possibly go wrong for your unsuperstitious correspondent...

Up early and out to the garage at 7:30 am...

The Cloudland Mobile has been making a funny metallic scraping noise when being driven slowly so I was taking it to my old friends at Arnold Clark for them to determine the cause and rectify the situation...

Unfortunately, as I pulled out of the garage, the car caught the pedal of my rarely used bike and brought a shelving unit down - several large and dangerous items like heavy tins of paint came crashing down onto the front of the car...

Argh...

The damage was, thankfully, fairly minimal and none of the paint tins actually opened during the incident but, rather annoyingly, we are left with a couple of dents and scrapes on the previously immaculate method of Crispycat transportation...

And then it turned out the cause of the mystery noise was merely a small stone which had made its way inside the brake pad area...

Cost to remove said small stone?

£50...

Argh...

Now, you may also recall we recently redecorated the bathroom at Crispycat Towers and the old mirror was taken to the dump and duly smashed to smithereens...

Luckily, I am not superstitious...

Anyway, nice berries on the walk home...

To the gym again – the six minute tracks playlist once again doing its job...

An achieving-the bagging-of-a-Munro celebrational tea comprised steak au poivre with roast potatoes and asparagus...

Did some tidying this evening, along with some TV watching – “My Family”, The Old Guys” and this week’s Tivo’d “Mongrels” – this last is by far and away my favourite “comedy” show right now...

Marion the (male) cat and Nelson and Vince the Foxes are my faves...

Late on, enjoyed the sounds of the Floyd, Neu! and Eno as I perused a great big book about art...

What’s not to like...

Highlight of the Day : No paint getting onto the car...
