Various - Forty Albums from 1969
Well now, i'm pretty sure Mr Jim Igoe, co-founder of Out of the Bedroom and founder of Secret CDs doesn't read this blog...
On Saturday, he is throwing a 40th birthday Party for himself, which will last through the afternoon, evening and into the wee small hours no doubt...
However, we are being visited by sister Pam and are also to attend Jim Park's show with Lynn and Ross (and Pam) and so I will only be able to attend briefly in the afternoon...
As a suitable unique present, today I have spent some considerable time compiling an MP3 DVD comprising forty albums (geddit) released in 1969 - thirty one and a half hours of fun...
Comparing this to last night's (in the main) drivel from 1959, it's amazing just what a huge difference to popular (as in rock and pop) music those ten years made...
And I designed a rather groovy cover - a treated collage of the three pics of Mr Igoe on his invitation...
Yes rather groovy indeed...
Even if I do say so myself...
Also found out more about James Hessler's Magic Show - it's at the Voodoo Bar in Haymarket, running for the duration of the Fringe (possibly not Wednesdays) from 10.45-11.45 pm - if you get a chance, go along - you will be amazed...
Other than that, a trip to FOPP (nothing bought) and watching the first half of Scotland's 4-0 drubbing in Norway...
Later on, taped "Law & Order : Criminal Intent" and "Mock the Week" entertained in a splendid fashion...
Lights out...
Highlight of the Day : Good old music...

Great looking cover Mr.CBQ. 1969 - a vintage year for sure. Following your lead I'll do a 1969-themed blog entry next week if I get a chance.
