Barclay James Harvest - Time Honoured Ghosts
Up early and, after finding a dead mouse (looked like a heart attack) on the dining room floor, courtesy Meg the Black Cat, and disposing of it accordingly, there being nothing I could do for the wee beastie, I watched the entire Dr Who adventure "Destiny of the Daleks" - it was rubbish really - but still only around 8 am by the time it finished...
Drove into town to meet up with Brodski and Dr Prog at FOPP for a quick shifty before heading down to the record Fair...
Very disappointing really - if you're not into buying vinyl - Brodski bought a trio of early Bob Marley CDs, Dr Prog picked up a Hendrix DVD and I was reduced to purchasing a disc by Barclay James Harvest...
A quick look around Vinyl Villains, noting also through the window of the pub next door, Rangers securing a last minute (it-wasn't-a) penalty to beat Hearts 2-1 at Tynecastle...
Home and then out again to Anne's mum's for an early tea, featuring Anne's excellent home made pakoras and her mum's excellent home made curries and lovely best in the world sponge cake - all in honour of nephew Craig's 23rd birthday yesterday...
Then, a trip to Armadale to take Meg the Black Cat on her holidays once again...
Good chat with Julia and John who will be our wee chum's surrogate parents for the next week or so...
We left Julia preparing some delicious sounding rabbit based dish and headed home, ending the day in an emptier house with "Match of the Day 2"...
A mail from Jim Igoe advised that his old friend Lloyd is doing not too badly, the diagnosis of last Saturday's incident being a heart attack - however it's still very much touch and go...
Highlight of the Day : Record shops and Fairs with Brodski and Dr Prog
