Up at 6:30 this morning and everything was still a little unreal – loads of coverage for the Queens after yesterday’s exploits...

Finished off loading the new purchases into the jukebox and set off for the gym for my 9 am appointment with “Dave”...

A programme is taking shape, to which I’ll be adhering for the next 10 weeks and perhaps beyond...

In the main it’s designed to strengthen my arm but there are a couple of cardio-vascular items which I need to add to help in my ongoing battle of the bulge...

On the way home, stopped off at the shop for a couple of rolls and some milk re breakfast...

Spent much of the day listening to the new music and reading about Queen of the South – surreal...

There’s a link on the club’s website to over 1,000 pictures taken on the day – if you’re eagle-eyed, you might just make me and Anne out in the one on the top left of this collage...

At 3:20 we set off for Dalgety Bay to Chris-with-a-ch’s house to watch Man Utd v Arsenal – and arrived just in time for the kick off, following a huge hold up on the Forth Road Bridge...

An entertaining match ended in Arsenal losing once again and, even though they’re third in one of the richest leagues in the world, their season has now been pronounced as being “over”...

It’s a funny old game...

In the meantime, Rangers despatched Partick Thislte 2-0 in the last Quarter Final - next Sunday they meet St Johnstone in the second semi-final at Hampden, the winner to play Queen of the South on 24 May...

If Rangers beat St Johnstone, Queen of the South will play in the Uefa Cup next season whatever happens in the final - if St Johnstone beat Rangers then one of the two First Division clubs will be in Europe...

It’s a funny old game...

We headed back over the bridge around 8 and picked up a curry from Bombay Feast, enjoying a programme on tigers while we ate...

A strange day...

Highlight of the Day : Still savouring yesterday’s triumph...
