Sunday and, once again up and to compiling the podcast...
It was very late...
Hopefully soon, all our paintings can go back on the walls on the ground floor...
Writing this up and working on the podcast (plus breakfast) and quick trip to Lidl for emergency provisions took up most of the morning...
Anne was reasonable after last night's worse for wear scenario...
A couple of "FBI" at lunchtime...
Then, "Curse of the Were-Rabbit" entertained...
We both fell asleep at different times...
All too soon, it was time for Scotland v Belarus...
I couldn't believe the hubris of the pundits and commentary team, treating the game as a foregone conclusion and expecting a barrelful of goals from the home side...
This was Scotland (aka the Queen of the South of International Football) they were talking about...
After a rough start, a post VAR check goal, taken well by Adams, made it 1-0 at half time but the performance was far from convincing...
At half time, Anne attended to a very tasty tea - steak with mushroom sauce and onions plus baked potatoes and peas...
Outstanding...
The calendar reminded it was the weekend...
In the second half, Scotland remained below par...
A Belarusian equaliser was harshly chopped off by VAR but then, a second for Scotland, again well taken, this time from McTominay...
8 minutes of added time - with half of it gone, the away side got a well-deserved goal back, but the Scots hung on for the win and are now guaranteed a play off place for the World Cup finals...
If they manage to get through, it'll be the first time since 1998 in France...
Prior to that they were regulars...
Anyway...
Dishes done and then "Strictly Results" for Anne and link recording and putting together the podcast for me...
Done, dusted - ready to be uploaded tomorrow morning...
