Always good to be up an at 'em early on a Saturday morning...
Interesting skies...
My stones have been relegated from the living room...
That is not a euphemism...
It was the weekend...
And I started it by looking through the remaining CD-Rs I "need" to rip to the hard rives - these are all my "home-made" comps...
Around 150 of them - for all of which I'm going to have to type the titles of all the tracks...
Laborious...
Played the first of these two...
...and tried in vain to find my burn of the alternative version of the band's comp, "Echoes", which deftly incorporated all the tracks considered for the project by the band but rejected...
Then, a sterling version of King Crimson's "Starless"...
Then, turning files downloaded from YouTube into individual MP3s etc - the Tubes live in 1985...
...and a 25 minute Wizzard performance on Midnight Special at the end of 1974...
This is how I waste my time...
But it wasn't even breakfast time yet...
It was now...
Anne's flowers continued to look good...
While she was out visiting her mum, wee Fang popped by - I allowed him in, as I am a soft touch...
He followed me to the kitchen, had a few Dreamies and then, made his way back to the front door and out...
Much of the day was spent mixing and remixing music, which will come to nothing but was, however, fun...
...and podcast compiling...
...and asking the boys in the band if they fancied getting back together, even though we have nothing in the diary re performances...
An affirmative from John, John and Keith...
We will reconvene next Sunday...
Meanwhile, Luna the Cat has now arrived for a couple of weeks’ holiday...
While the Exec Producer enjoyed “Strictly”...
...I was grooving in my head to the splendid 21 minute performance by Wizzard in 1974…
Luna was wondering what was going on in the kitchen...
Fish'n'chips'n'Brussel Sprouts, that's what...
She made herself at home...
Eventually...
Late on, playing some records from box 1 of 5 of my remaining 7" singles, entertained...
Argent...
Berntholer...
Bourgie Bourgie...
David Bowie...
Petula Clark - bought by sister Sheila in 1964 when she was 8 - the first record any of me or my siblings bought with our "own" money...
Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel...
...and, finally, The Cure...
Some "taped" telly also entertained before bed at midnight...
Highlight of the Day : The return of Luna...
