Its off, it's on...

Playlist

Friday once again and up and downloading the latest things (see below) and receiving more from Prog Rock Willie...

It was Halloween...

..and so, October was away...

The room awaited...

But Luna needed her breakfast...

Once again Anne to Zumba, me to the gym...

Six visits in October for just £18 - worth it, I think...

Back home and some remixing work which came to nothing and was abandoned without anything being saved...

Finally, to the room for another rehearsal...

Post lunch and some TV ("Bones"), we were off out and down the hill again...

This seen for Halloween...

I could have gone out dressed as this, though...

Back to the Spoons on Lothian Rd for 4pm to meet up with Bernie and Gary for drinks and chat...

...then...

...a walk up to Tollcross to Tuk Tuk - we had supposed to have been heading here anyway to meet up with Chris with a Ch and Gillian but that fell through, so we went anyway but with B'n'G...

Drinks secured pre entry...

And a superb meal enjoyed...

Before...

After...

Yowsah!

A walk down to Shandwick Place and buses home for all of us, Gary to Fife, me, Anne and Bernie to Corstorphine...

Top night out...

The trumpets of Satan were playing at full blast later on though, of course...

Highlight of the Day : Tuk Tuk...

Brilliant view, fantastic sound and zero idiots...

Playlist

Thursday, up early...

Remixing the song I did with Assitant last week...

...and attending to our guest...

First frost of the winter...

Luna would not be going out...

But we were, for breakfast...

...at the Haven...

Post which Anne handed ina  coat to charity at Ocean Terminal re her new purchase on Tuesday and, your correspondent bought a similar coat, in black - both should do us fine for our planned Amsterdam trip in January, when it will be freezing, probably...

Back home and rehearsals for Sunday's band recovening session...

Around 5, to Bob's to pick him up and to Fountain Park cinema, Anne taking the car home...

Tickets purchased for Depeche Mode's "M" film...

While we waited for the programme to start at 6, we nipped to the Fountain Bar for a swift half then back to the cinema and in...

A superb concert experience. Brilliant view, fantastic sound and zero idiots to deal with...

Ideal concert experience. So much better than the actual DM gigs I’ve attended in the past!

At 8:05 over the road again to Sainsbury for 2 bottles of wine...

...and, then to Mustafa's Dera for tea...
c

The pakoras were so good, we had to order a second batch...

...along with two lamb curries, a balti for Bob and a Lyllpuri for me, two rice, two chapatis...

All that was left at the end was some rice...

The low cost made up somewhat for the £23.50 each paid for the film...

A quick pop into nearby Nando's to say hello to niece Kitty then picked up and taken home by Anne...

Flowers still going strong...

Of course I fell asleep (with Depeche Mode in the cans)...

So, bed around 11 or so...

Highlight of the Day : Out with Bob...

Doctor's orders...

Playlist

Started the day listening to a lot of old music - favourite singles from 1972...

Anne to Zumba, me to the gym...

Home and "working"...

Lunch for Luna...

Back out before Anne got home...

Down the hill...

These soundtracked the day...

A bus to Shandwick Place...

...and a quick visit to Fopp - a reggae comp purchased and, at Shelter, two Bob Dylan best ofs and a Barry Blue Best of...

Then to the Spoons on Lothian Rd to meet up with Dr Prog for coffees and chat...

There he is on the left heading to the bar....

A good time had...

And here is again, before and after being shot by the large cinema projector...

Barclay James Harvest's latest soundtracked the Airport Bus back to the foot of the hill, where I was advised by the bus tracker that 3 No 26s were due but (a) all at the same time and (b) that time being the point at which I'd be home if I walked up the hill...

I walked up the hill...

This was my haul today...

A nice space related Trojan comp...

Best of Bob...

Best of Bob II...

Best of Baz...

Can I just say that “Do You Wanna Dance?” by Barry Blue is an absolute glam rock banger of the first order!

Lovely wine with tea tonight...

My pic of Anne's casserole does it zero justice though...

Luna shows no interest in human food...

This evening, some Steve Harley and Cockney Rebel...

Released on this day in 1976 apparently. I love “Love’s a Prima Donna”…

Then, closing the day, Steve Harley’s other 1976 LP, “Timeless Flight”, his own favourite, including the epic, “Black or White”, which I fully expected to be No 1, while predicting that a certain single by Queen, released around the same time in late 1975, would flop...

Got that spectacularly wrong but I still prefer Harley’s song...

Bed at midnight...

Highlight of the Day : Meet op with the Doc...
