Another morning, another session in the dark...

A message from old chum Marta - she's gone back to work - with old chum JB - we all used to sit together in the offices of The Man - I recall the day, in May 2014, when I bought this - JB was less than impressed...

I included a track on my podcast...

"For my sins, I invested in a 2CD set of Dubstep this week.  I can't say I've listened to it all but the first few tracks (this is the first) were indeed enjoyable.  Eventually though, I had to turn it off and move on to something more interesting..."

He ended up donating a big bag of his own CDs to me, when he went over to streaming...

Ah the old days...

Anyway, out to my mum's...

Took pics of the remaining furniture, with a view to asking a charity if they'd pick it up (if none of it sells on sister Sheila's GumTree or Facebook Marketplace)...

Tidied up the living room...

This, the scene three years ago today, mum surrounded by grand-kids and great-grand-kids - enjoying a McFlurry...

Very sad that our family home, since November 1966, will soon be gone...

Some pics taken too of old books, with a view to finding out if any bookshop might be interested...

Then, a hairy journey back into town to FourSquare, with five boxes of crockery and glassware in the back, rattling and crashing with every bump I drove over...

It was like a scene from "The Wages of Fear" - with crockery and glassware instead of Nitroglycerin...

Anyway, arrived, luckily, with everything intact - and they will also collect the furniture if needs be...

Home with my mum's microwave - looked promising - but turns out the internal space is smaller than the one we already have, so, this, along with mum's kettle and toaster will go to Grand Nephew Kerr re him ever getting a place of his own...

Anne was out at Zumba - so, to filing...

A call to pick her up - done - and, post lunch and a couple of "Intelligence", back to the filing for the final time...

Done...

Nine empty boxes and at least two spaces in all the rest...

This soundtracked...

A shout out from Sid Smith re possible replacement external drives...

Suggested my recent purchase - annoying to find that, while I paid £40 for mine, it's on Amazon now for £28...

Hey ho...

After a couple of days off, back to the Haydn symphonies - another three listened to this afternoon - 7, 27 and 61, with 100 still to do to get back up to date...

Meanwhile, in the kitchen...

It was Wednesday and Anne was concocting a new thing...

Falafel...

...with which she was very disappointed but which I very much enjoyed...

This evening, fell asleep watching "Shetland" - will catch up on iPlayer...

To bed around 11 or so - eschewing the headphones...

But, despite being completely zonked, took an absolute age to drop off...

Onwards!

Highlight of the Day : Falafel...

No spoilers but Shetland just gets more far fetched but strangely more watchable as it lumbers on.

Good reminder that I still need to watch the bits I fell asleep through!
