Up late...

....and had to wait until the EP emerged before being able to record the podcast links...

However, this went up re Cloudland Blue Quartet not playing at Club Nitty Gritty tonight...

"What I should have been doing tonight...available for the next seven days..."

https://we.tl/t-z4It9Vbaac

The stream/download at the link is only available until 2 November...

Then, prompted by a Twitter chat with a chum in the USA who recently visited New York and Boston, I set about putting togetehr a new playlist of all the CDs I bought on our trip there back in 1999, for my 40th birthday...

I consulted the "Red Book of CDs I Own" for the content...

...and found all but three on the hard drives...

A search ensued...

...including a visit to the attic...

Soon I had them all and was able too to recreate the CD compilation I put together on our return home...

Meanwhile, as I finally put the podcast together, Bob arrived to put the new blind up in the new bathroom...

Some further work is required...

The torture is nearly over...

It's only around six months since that very small part in the fire went wrong and set off the whole chain of events...

Into the car post blind work and off to Glasgow for Count Arthur Strong, the reason I could not perform this evening...

Parked near Byres Road and Anne went for a coffee while I had a quick look around Fopp and picked this up to compliment yesterday's purchase - it has two new tracks on it which made the £3 outlay worth it (in my head)...

It was certainly more worth it than the coffee - which was good but, relative to music, very expensive...

I'm sure Anne thinks I'm mad...

Out for a walk along Great Western Road...

...erm...

...to Mixed Up Records on Otago Lane...

...where these were assimilated into the collection at £1 a pop...

One of my favourite rooms in Glasgow - if not thee favourite...

Out and on the search for dinner...

...after a walk in the cold and rain, Tony Macaroni's was given our first ever visit...

Not bad, said the beast...

...while his EP texted our nephew...

Yumtastic...

Not hipsterish...

A subway trip to the town centre...

...and to the Pavilion Theatre for the show...

...which was very funny indeed, quite brilliantly done in fact, as Count Arthur went on and on about Professor Brian Cox...

Tangential is the word...

There was ice cream at half time...

Just before 10, out we came and another subway back to the car...

...and the journey home was soundtracked by the set I ought to have played tonight...

The EP's verdict was "the usual depressing stuff"...

Oh well...

A good day, despite not getting to play...

Highlight of the Day : The Count...
