I follow a site called "A Bit of Pluto" on Twitter...

Every day, it posts a picture of a bit of Pluto...

This, however, is my baldy head...

Out tonight with the EP for our first shows in this year's Edinburgh Festival and Fringe...

Firstly to Potterrow at the University for Nick Helm - a seriously depressed man and fine comedian, singer and songwriter, who had his entire audience confirming, by the end of his show, that we were all cunts - and he wasn't...

Sustenance, pre the second show, at the Mosque kitchen...

..and taking in the atmos...

..including a conversation with an unpictured young girl wearing intriguing Dr Marten sandals...

To queuing for Frank Skinner...

...under OK skies, by a building in which I once unsuccessfully studied...

All Frank's shows are sold out...

The view from the office this evening...

It was like, in fact, it was, being chatted to for an hour, by a very funny raconteur...

Top notch...

Out into the night...

...and a walk back to the car, noting this on the way...

Good views...

I would hope we can make the Roxburgh Quartet later this month - even though I have no idea what they might be playing...

Ooh, just looked it up, Barber and Shostakovich - we'll be there - although Anne may be at football...

Back home, a thread on Twitter caused me to list my 20 favourite Miles Davis LPs - I couldn't get it below 21...

Lights out with those in the cans...

Highlight of the Day : Frank being frank...

Glad Sketches of Spain aint there. I struggle with that one. There was a recent concert by some Scottish Orchestra performing the whole album of Sketches. Bizarre. Hope you're enjoying the Fest.

Not really a fan of anything Miles did with Gil Evans TBH. Sketches is based on Concerto de Aranjuez by Rodrigo - which is better than the Miles thing IMHO... Enjoying fest so far - Nick Helm, Frank Skinner, Al Murray - coming up Simon Evans and Henning Wehn...
