The view from the office this morning...

On the 60th birthday of increasingly absent old chum and musicking buddy, Count Brodski...

Over the course of the day, text and e-mail exchanges were made...

Up early as ever....

To "work", re uploading the podcast recorded last night and keeping this up to date...

And downloading three new albums, two of string quartets and a tasty digital edition of an ambient cassette...

Accidental photographs also taken...

Breakfast at home and, then, out, back to the tile shop, hoping to obtain the necessary stuff re a new bathroom floor...

But the tiles were not in stock...

Disappointment set in...

On the way home, stopped off at Ocean Terminal Shopping Centre, as there was a Record Fair in the main concourse...

Nothing enticed...

In the Mall, a strange place with nothing for sale, merely old stuff to jog memories...

Back home for lunch via some shopping for sustenance based stuff and a message on the machine to say tiles have been located and will be in later this week...

Disappointment removed...

And then, with Anne off to see Hearts scrape a 0-0 draw with top flight newcomers Ross County (Queens came from behind in Dumfries to draw with Dunfermline - still unbeaten but only two points on the board), I set about recording some vocals...

The results were less than inspiring...

I moved on to record a couple of attempts at a new live set comprising the 45-50 minutes of what may become the new CBQ LP...

In the evening a tasty prawn based pasta dish from the EP and a listen back to the afternoon's work as the thunder roared, the lightning flashed and the rain poured down...

Then, "Captain America : The First Avenger" entertained...

I think I'd seen the end of this film but not the majority of it...

Good stuff...
