The view from the office this morning as another week started...

...with a nice breakfast...

...a reasonable lunch...

...and, as ever, some accidental photographs...

Chum Spike is getting rid of his vinyl collection...

Here are some highlights - i.e. LPs/12"s I own, or used to own...

Count Brodski reminded me re his birthday, of our visit on 9 August 1975, the day before his 16th,  with chum Dood Hamilton to the Usher Hall to see the mighty Hawkwind...

Some diary entries from around the time and the night itself were found...

Elton John was popular with your correspondent and Roy Wood related LPs were bought...

...as were Lou Reed, Wishbone Ash and the aforementioned Elt...

I remember this day well - from the bargain bin at Boots on Princes St - still there 44 years later - the shop, not the bargain bin...

Popular music was not very good and Alice Cooper appeared on UK TV screens...

..and Hawkwind were enjoyed...

...before, two days later, Tangerine Dream's best LP was partaken of - from Virgin, then in a tiny shop in Thistle Street if I recall correctly...

This evening, Anne was painting again...

We were puzzled by a reflection on the wall of the old colour - until we found this on the rear of the radiator...

OK that's enough radiator pics...

Lights out...

Highlight of the Day :  Looking back...
