Starting the day (up early as ever at the weekends) listening to new discovery, Slow Meadow...

Then, more new music into the collection - from Markus Guentner and a rejig of some John Coltrane tracks into an LP I didn't previously have...

Breakfast at home, then, out to a Record Fair - solo, Dr Prog having turned down my invite...

Funny to see all these guys digging through the crates of vinyl paying extortionate prices...

...while I calmly partook of a goodly number of CDs at the quite ridiculous price of £2 each - in fact the stallholder, making a killing out of the old records, knocked some money off and gave me another disc for free...

I was particularly pleased with the Golden Earring - a European pressing with a different tracklisting - I'd known about this for years (and have a rip on a hard drive) but had never seen the actual disc before...

The Klaus Schulze for just £2 was a top notch find too...

Home in time for a quick lunch with Anne, before she headed off to the footie (Hearts 2-1 winners against St Johnstone - Queens drawing 0-0 in Inverness) leaving me to some ripping, listening and recording of purchases in the red books of CDs I own...

An attempt was made to set up speakers in the back room (the PA system having been disconnected re the recent gig) but, to be honest, even at reasonable/aka "lowest worthwhile" volumes, the sound was encroaching on downstairs - and so, headphones are indeed the way forward...

A purchase this afternoon of "Starlightnight" lead me to give that a listen...

Probably my best song-based album but the lyrics are a little tough to read through re what was happening at the time...

...which is odd for me, as my lyrics are usually hardly ever autobiographical...

...or rather never intentionally autobiographical...

In the evening, tasty home-made pasta accompanied "Strictly" for Anne, while I watched whilst listening to the new acquisitions on headphones...

"Killing Eve" continued excellently, though - *spoilers* - sad to see one of the main characters exit on episode 3...

A reasonable - no, update - very good Saturday...

Today's artwork, "The Crate Diggers"...

Highlight of the Day : An excellent haul...
