Today's listening, which started early...

...was re the purchases yesterday...

Further solo learning of cover versions and reacquainting myself with items from previously performed setlists took place in the hours around midday...

To my mum's for two...

She likes a snowball...

..and a chat...

...and a cup of coffee...

...and enjoyed hearing about Pat's funeral yesterday...

Then, it was over to Jane and Bobby's for the birthday tea for Mary...

Olly appears to have found a new place...

Perhaps, Maureen was wondering where her children and their partners were...

The big flower on the wallpaper seemed to add to Mary's hair...

A short walk, to the nearby Hampton Hotel, proved reasonably difficult for your correspondent, as the leg problem entered its second day and stiffer stiffness, so much so that the ability to drive had been removed...

Bob led the way...

...while the main body of the party lagged behind...

Kitty was with me, the wind playing havoc with her hair...

...but looking good by the time we arrived...

Maureen and Keith's family, Abby and Blair, Rebecca and Murray had also arrived...

...and were checking out Facebook entries from nephew Craig, currently in California with Arianne..

Kitty was disappointed to learn that she'd not featured in the pics from a fortnight ago - so she made sure she was in rather a few today - "take one of my eyes" she said...

Here you go...

A tasty meal ensued, followed by much chat...

...and posing for pics...

...and everyone had a good time...

A bus home in the rain and hobbling down from the terminus, for some more listening to yesterday's haul, while reading excerpts from the "Music of the Late 20th Century" volume of my whopping history of music...

Bed pre midnight...

Today's artwork, "The Family in the Distance"...

Highlight of the Day : An evening off for Mary...
