deadmau5 - where's the drop?
Al Di Meola - Elegant Gypsy
A return to the fray, kind of, this evening, as MB5's (Meadowbank 5's), founded by Mr CBQ (then known as Sombre Reptiles) and some workmates back in 1982, had a special derby challenge of the "oldies" (darks) v "newbies" (lights) and I, as the so-called "Godfather" of the squad ,which has seen, probably, hundreds of players take part over the last 36 years, was invited along to be referee...
A thrilling game ensued...
4-1 for the darks at half-time...
A late comeback saw the final score at 8-3 - with the lights winning the last 10 minutes 2-0 - and, as one wag advised, "last goal the winner"...
Ah the banter...
Lights were : Matt, Marcin, Dami, Tolga, Chibs, Wind, Steven and Essom...
Darks were : Jamie, Connor, Nigel, Mickey, Grant, Gav, Lloyd and Ed...
I gave up probably over five years ago now - Nigel and Mickey were the only two I've played alongside, although I met a few of the others at the awards night earlier this year...
Even though just strolling around, blowing the whistle occasionally, has badly affected the old legs, it was very enjoyable indeed to be back...

I had my whistle, my stopwatch, a pen, some notepaper and my cards...

4-1 for the darks at half-time...

All too soon it was over...
A bus and a lift up the hill from a post Zumba Exec Producer and some TV and some listening and the day was gone once more...
Today's artwork, "Back in the Fray"...
Highlight of the Day : Refereeing...
