A, kind of, packed (sort of) Saturday, for which I was up early to write up a few days of this and upload the podcast...

Out just after eight on a beautiful morning and a walk along to Helen the Podiatrist's...

...and back fifteen minutes or so later...

The snails are back!

A quick turnaround and out with the EP to a garden centre at Ricarton...

...where breakfast was enjoyed and some new plants were purchased...

Leaving Anne to do stuff she likes in the garden, I set off again - this time to pick up Dr Prog and head into town to the Saturday place...

The Doc was sporting a very fetching Dali T...

As noted, books were purchased - CDs too - I thought I was buying a little known disc by The Divine Comedy called "Milla" - turns out it's Milla Jovovich's only solo LP "The Divine Comedy"...

Oh well...

Marcia Griffiths and Minnie Ripperton also picked up...

In the evening, a tasty curry collected and then almost four hours of "Eurovision 2018"...

Including marking...

My winner was Lithuania, just pipping Portugal - who came last after winning last year's competition...

Austria's entry, which was the top pick by the clueless judges, was sung by a Londoner - I wonder if it would have done as well had the exact same song/performance been representing the UK...

Some of the voting is a bit wierd...

But then, liking music is subjective and ought not really be subject to such judgement...

Listening back this morning (Sunday) to my top 19 tracks, there's actually a lot more good stuff there than it seemed whilst watching...

An enjoyable load of nonsense which will no doubt continue to be enjoyed annually...

Israel (not in Europe) won, by the way...

Anyway, here are some recent book purchases - the Penguin covers book acquired today...

These arrived yesterday along with a disc of John Ireland string quartets but were unmentioned...

...and this is from a couple of weeks ago...

Today's artwork, "The Doctor's Dali T"...

Highlight of the Day : Being busy all day...
