And so it's goodbye to the cottage...

Final views...

...final breakfast and all packed...

Leaving at nine for a nice drive to Bath, soundtracked by a track from each of the Manchester/Devon acquisitions - superb (unpictured) countryside on the way in - with some nutter drivers of course...

Anyway, Bath was/is beautiful...

We parked near Queen's Square and took a walk down into the main centre...

..with the Abbey and the Roman Baths...

...before heading back to the square...

..and on through Royal Avenue...

...to Royal Crescent...

Your correspondent's hat was protecting a badly burned bonce...

Along Brock Street to The Circus...

Lunch purchased on George Street, looking down Milsom Street...

...also noting Moles Club...

Back to the park to eat and then to the car and the drive north to Halifax, forced to detour over Saddleworth Moor due to an exploded lorry on the M62 - what lucky views we were afforded...

...and ice cream...

Our one night hotel was by the canal...

Into Halifax centre in search of sustenance...

...which was finally found at the Kashmiri Aroma...

...with water from Harrogate...

Home and three or four episodes of "Curb Your Enthusiasm" enjoyed via the laptop before hitting the sack...

Today's artwork is "Bath Market"...

Highlight of the Day : Bath...

So many photos! I attended Bath Uni from 1984 to 86, had a flat in Great Pultney Street and then into digs on London Road. Wonderful place for eating, drinking and hanging out. Nice to see it all again in your pics. Not been there for about 10 years or more. Glad you had a good holiday.

Cheers John - You're lucky to have lived in such a beautiful city. Sadly we only had a couple of hours to explore it but definitely intend on visiting again...
