Late last night I stumbed across an old blog which contained links to, literally, hundreds of funk, soul and jazz LPs, including many obscure 70's funky film soundtracks and dfnky compilations...

I did what any unable to help himself music junkie would do and partook of "a few" items...

This morning, these were waiting to be attended to...

Into town and, as I alighted the bus, this scene presented itself...

A ramraid for a cash terminal - which apparently proved less successful than your correspondent's "acquisition" of various funky LPs...

This evening, drinks at Foundry 39 with chums Gaz, his boyfriend and two sons plus music man Jordan before Anne and I headed to Omar Khayam for a couple of Thalis, having been influenced in our behavior by Michael Portillo's Indian Train Journeys from a couple of nights ago...

Of course, pakoras prefaced the Thali intake...

Anne went for the meat and I had the veg...

Tasty, in pleasing surroundings...

We tried to recall when we first ate here - it must be over 30 years ago - and the same Maitre D is in situ and greets us with a handshake any time we dine here...

Nice and, indeed, tasty...

A constitutional ensued and we walked along Dalry Road, taking the opportunity to book a table for next Friday at Mia's Italian Kitchen for a twice postponed night out with old chums Ken & Rose...

Then, a walk back to the car, under strange but attractive light...

Some TV was watched before I set about the reconstitution of many zipped files which required to be reflated before joining the fray in a funky stylee...

Isaac Hayes was enjoyed before retiring...
